For Windows 95 or Windows NT, install AR32E30.EXE. Installation is necessary to view PDF files. * QuickTime Installer/QUICKTIM folder: QuickTime 3.02 for Macintosh QuickTime 3.02 for Windows 95/Windows NT SimpleText (Macintosh only) - text editor/viewer ------------------------ QUICKTIME(TM) ------------------------ QuickTime is the industry standard multimedia technology for video, audio, animation and virtual reality. Please read the System Requirements before installing QuickTime on your system. You can install QuickTime by double-clicking the appropriate installer for your particular operating system in the QuickTime Installer/QUICKTIM folder. You may view both the preview and the full-screen movie files using QuickTime. If you have not installed the latest version of QuickTime (3.02), we strongly recommend you do so. ------------------------ QUICKTIME SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------------ Macintosh(R) * 68020-, 68030-, 68040-based processor computers, or Power Macintosh computer * Power Macintosh computer required when using effects, 3D, Floating-Point Audio, DV, MPEG, or Qdesign * At least 8MB of RAM recommended for 680x0 processor-based systems; at least 16MB of RAM recommended for PowerPC processor-based systems * Macintosh OS 7 or Macintosh OS 8 system software Windows(R) 95/Windows NT(R) * Intel or compatible processor or any MPC2-compliant PC (minimum 66-MHz486 processor; also supports Pentium, Pentium Pro, and Pentium II with MMX processors) * Pentium processor recommended when using effects, 3D, Soreson Video, DV, or Qdesign * At least 16MB of RAM NOTE: QuickTime 3.02 is currently only available for Mac OS, Windows 95 and Windows NT. Windows 3.1 users should continue to use QuickTime 2.1.2, available from the Apple Computer, Inc. web site (www.apple.com). ------------------------ USING EXTENSIS PORTFOLIO ------------------------ The Extensis Portfolio browser is a simple but efficient catalog that allows you to search images and view still images instantly on-screen. You may also view Preview movies from within Portfolio (you must first have QuickTime installed on your system). Please read the Read Me in the Extensis Portfolio/PORTFOLI folder for system requirements before using. Using Portfolio catalogs on the Macintosh ------------------------------------- Double-click the Video Browser.fdb catalog located at the root level of the CD and the Portfolio browser application will start, whether or not you have Portfolio installed on your system. You can also start the application directly off the CD by double-clicking on the Portfolio icon in the Extensis Portfolio folder (within the Utilities folder). Using Portfolio catalogs on Windows 95 or NT ----------------------------------------- Start the application first, by double-clicking on the PORTBRWS.EXE icon in the PORTFOLI folder (within the UTILS folder). Choose File > Open and select the VID_BRWS.FDB catalog located at the CD root level. ------------------------------- THE ADOBE ACROBAT(R) 3.0 READER ------------------------------- You can install the Adobe Acrobat 3.0 Reader by double-clicking the installer in the Acrobat Reader Installer/ACROREAD folder located in the Utilities/UTILS folder. Much of the documentation included on the CD is provided in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF). You may view and print these PDF files with the Adobe Acrobat Reader. Important!
